Synopsis

Charles Bronson - one of Hollywood's biggest box office names - plays Russian secret agent Grigori Borzof in this gripping tale of a man racing against time to save the 2 Super Powers from the ultimate conflict. It is the winter of '77. A Russian defector - played with chilling evil by Donald Pleasance - moves swiftly across the U.S.A., leaving behind him a trail of sabotage and destruction. In pursuit is Bronson, despatched by the KGB to track down the die-hard Stalinist and pull Russia and America back from the brink of cataclysmic war. Bronson's American liaison is played by the beautiful Lee Remick, a double agent whose mysterious role in this drama of international intrigue adds further suspense. The story's end, in the unlikely setting of a roadside bar in Texas, is a climax worthy of one of director Don Siegel's most explosive films.
