Synopsis

The hilarious comedy about dis-Organized Crime.
An uproarious comedy of criminal fiascos and inept gang warfare... The laughs fly faster than the bullets in this hilarious send-up of gangland life filmed in and around Brooklyn's Red Hook district. Based on Jimmy Breslin's best-selling novel 'The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight' involves the comic misadventures of the craziest collection of hoodlums you've ever seen as they try for a piece of East Side action. There's Kid Sally out to topple Baccala, the 'Boss of Bosses'; there's Big Momma, who keeps a pistol in a cookie jar and handles a kitchen knife like she means business; then there's Big Jelly and Beppo, Tony the Indian and Water Buffalo. Add the beautiful Leigh Taylor-Young as Angela, the college student sister of a gangland leader; one of Hollywood's greatest talents, Robert de Niro, as an Italian bicycle racer masquerading as a priest, plus one escaped lion. The end result is gang warfare with a difference. You'll laugh all the way to the final credits but mind you don't break your funny bone!
