Synopsis
Chained like animals but it didn't stop their primitive cravings
Harris (Robert Lott), is sentenced to a short period in a George State prison for involvement in the sale of marijuana. He is transferred to a chain gang and finds, to his horror, that he is chained to a ruthless convicted killer. Mike Weed (Michael Stearns). Mike Weed plans and eventually succeeds in escaping but because of the leg chains, Harris goes too - chained to a runaway killer who will stop at nothing to preserve his freedom. Harris visits his girl friend who has moved to an apartment near the prison - and Weed goes too. Harris goes out to buy some clothes and while he is away Weed rapes Harris' girl friend Ann (Linda York). Unable to bring herself to tell Harris about the raping and following an abortive attempt to break through the road blocks, she runs off. Weed is furious that she has gone and the two men fight. They realise they need another hide-out and take over a farmhouse. The young wife (Barbara Mills) is then raped in full view of her much older husband (Ralph Campbell). The two escaping prisoners take the young wife along for another road-block crashing attempt. They crash through the barriers but are closely followed by police cars and are chased for miles. Eventually they return to the farmhouse only to fid the farmer gone. The girl goes to bed, leaving Harris on guard outside and Weed resting on the sofa. There then follows a night of horrible violence and death, with a most surprising twist in the plot at the end of the film.
