Synopsis

EIGHT TEENAGERS... NINETY SINKS... AND THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY!
BILL FORSYTH's comic genius and talent for shrewd observation combined brilliantly to make LOCAL HERO and GREGORY'S GIRL international hits. Together, for the first time, they produced THAT SINKING FEELING, the funniest directorial debut in recent years. The action in this film takes place in a fictitious town called GLASGOW. Any resemblance to any real town called GLASGOW is purely coincidental. Life in Glasgow is filled with disillusionment for a jobless teenager like Ronnie (ROBERT BUCHANAN) and his apathy stricken friends Vic, Simmy and Wal. Desperate to support his addiction to Corn Flakes, Ronnie hatches a daring plot for the most spectacular heist since The Great Drain Robbery... As the determined villains plunge into the hilarious preparations for the crime, not all goes according to plan... Why is Vic so eager to volunteer as a female decoy? What is the crime of the century anyway? Will Eddie the driver wake up before the ring road is finished?
