A LAVISHLY PRODUCED SPECTACLE
Salome is the step-daughter the great King Herod of Judea! The king wishes Salome to dance the Dance of the Seven Veils in return for which Salome will receive anything she desires. Herod even promises Salome half the Kingdom of Judea if she would like it. Salome's only desire is to have the head of John the Baptist who continually taunts and speaks obscenities about the Queen, Salome's mother. A moving tragedy full of colour and rich costume.
