The heroic story of a brave group of coastal villagers who fought to save the Chinese city of Hangchow from marauding Japanese pirates in the late Ming Dynasty. Learning that the pirates, led by the infamous Hashimoto, plan to land their supplies on the nearby Beach of the War Gods, the villagers act quickly to take the invaders by surprise. But they suffer more losses than they inflict, and the Japs retaliate by attacking their village. Under the leadership of the legendary Chinese fighter Hsiao Feng, the villagers defend themselves valiantly, and the struggle resolves itself into a breath-taking duel to the death between Hsiao and Hashimoto.
