Synopsis

A journey from which there was no turning back...
When expatriate Austrian layabout Mark Conrad is ordered out of Hong Kong on a one-way ferry ticket, the captain is less than pleased - especially when the Macao authorities refuse to let Conrad land. It seems he is doomed to be a permanent passenger. But he does have his good points. He pleases attractive teacher Liz Ferrers by charming her pupils, effects a rescue from a blazing junk, defends the ferry against pirates and a typhoon, ultimately salvaging enough respect to win a new start in life - and love.
