Synopsis

The scene is the waiting room of a small Cornish junction station, where a small group of travellers are having to pass the night. The stationmaster keeps them awake with the terrible tale of an accident that had once happened on the swing bridge nearby. Since then, he says, the train's ghost has haunted the line... and anyone who sees it will die! Then weird things begin to happen... Arthur Askey and Richard Murdoch were radio's top comedy duo (remember Bandwagon?) when they made this classic comedy thriller by Arnold Ridley, who later achieved fame all over again in Dad's Army.
