This is the story of one man, three wars and three women. It follows the career of Candy VC (Roger Livesley) from the Boer War to the Blitz. In each conflict he meets the same beautiful woman (Deborah Kerr) first as an anti-espionage colleague, then as a nurse, and finally as his ATS driver.
