Synopsis
Pretty Byrdie White, although past the age of consent, is mentally retarded due to the death of a playmate in a gun accident years before.
One night the dead child’s father gets drunk and chases Byrdie out of the village — and into the arms of gypsy boy Roibin, who is said to have caused the accident.
