When a freak storm brings power lines crashing to the ground in the remote coastal area of Fly Creek, Georgia, the sudden surge of loose electricity imbues the bodies of baitworms with an awesome energy. Among the first to witness the horror are Geri and her boyfriend Mike, who call on a neighbour to find only his skeleton remaining - with not a morsel of flesh left to be seen.... They try to alert the sheriff to the menace but find him strangely unconcerned.
