A preacher finds the bottle and a new rage after his family are murdered by 'hoodlums', he loses his hearing and speech in the attack leaving him seemingly inoffensive.
After hitting rock bottom he is spurred into action at the mugging of a blind preacher, you heard right adeaf un and now a bkund un!
Now turned vigilante, he scours the streets looking for his families killers and any assosiated drug dealers. The former are surprisingly easy to find to be fair.
The preacher himself is a part quite well portayed, however the embarrasing roles are the police, there's less wood in the hundred acre forrest than here.
Dark Sunday has an interesting plot as the main character doesnt say a word for most of the film. There's an odd and random insertion of a French hooker who decides he is a case worth adoptingĀ and the main baddie getting beaten up with his own coffee machine and contents is funny, as that's what you want to do to him for his acting ineptness.
I wouldn't say its 'up there' with the best of the vigilante sub genre but its not a terrible film, the pace is good and the main character is pretty decent.
