In company with Lancelot, Arthur sets forth on a sacred quest to seek the truth of King Uther's death. Their amazing exploits culminate in the finding of the legendary sword of Excalibur and the beginning of yet further adventures for these fearless Knights of the Round Table - TALES FROM THE COURT OF KING ARTHUR. Friendship binds the knightly errand of Arthur and Lancelot as they seek the truth of King Uther's death from Merlin. The two are pursued en route by the dreaded Black Knights but escape after joining forces with Sir Tristram of the Harp and the unexpected intervention of the mysterious Green Knight. The latter surprisingly challenges Arthur, defeats him and threatens him with banishment. However after pleading by Lancelot and Tristram saves Arthur and they are led to Merlin. From his lips they learn that Lavik was indeed the murderer, and as he enjoys the protection of the witch Melissa only a warrior bearing the sacred sword Excalibur and Bishop the holy shield can defeat him - [sic] Thus Arthur and Lancelot journey to the magical lake in whose depths Excalibur is held by the Lady of the Lake. There, after surmounting the dangers of the whirlpool Arthur retrieves the sword and then sets forth to seek the sacred shield.
