Brook Newman's happy family life is shattered when her husband, an electronics inventor, is murdered and she and her daughter are terrorized. When Brook discovers one of her husband's tapes she realizes [sic] that she may hold the key to his murder. She travels to Landry, Texas where she uncovers a plot by the heads of Brockhurst lndustries to cover up the fact that the toxic chemical wastes they had dumped 20 years earlier were now threatening the inhabitants of the town. The film culminates in a terrifying helicopter chase to the death.
