Synopsis

THE ULTIMATE HIGH-TECH THRILLER... A BLOOD-CHILLING DATE WITH DEATH
Blind Date - the high-tech thriller that goes beyond the infinity of darkness. Jon Ratcliff wakes up one morning in a hospital after his voyeuristic obsession with a beautiful model has caused him to have a fateful accident. It has left him totally blind - and the doctors can't tell wether it is a temporary or permanent loss. Frustrated, he seeks the help of a neuro-surgeon experimenting with a revolutionary new process called "Compuvision". Intrigued, he decides to become the first human guinea-pig to undergo a laser surgery that transmits visual signals direct to the brain bypassing the optic nerve. When he can eventually see again, it is through the eyes of a computer - all bright outlines set against a strange black background. One night he witnesses a vicious slaughter by "The Scalpel Murderer"; a maniac who has the city in an icy grip of terror. He can't see the face of the killer, just a shadowy outline... but the killer doesn't know that! And so begins the frightening game of cat and mouse. With only a computer plugged into his brain to guide him in the dark as his one chance of survival, Jon pits himself against the crazed scalpel-wielding psychopath. But will it be enough to help him live through another scream-ridden night?
