Synopsis

Live action and animation combine in a lively, colourful trip through the human body. An ideal lesson both for children, teenagers and adults, on the importance of diet and health. Join this fantasy tour through the body of an overweight, chain-smoking, overeating, stress-prone man. Timer, the "keeper of body time," invites Joey and his younger sister, Missy, to tour their Uncle Carl's body while he dozes. Magically reduced to microscopic size, they visit mouth and stomach, heart and lungs, and even the brain. Fascinating characters are featured in each adventure: General Antigen fights tooth decay from sweets; Sadsack, a smoke-damaged cell in Lungland, pleads for clean, fresh air; Admiral Plasma shoots the rapids through veins blocked by the Fatties, reaching the heart, which is in bad shape for lack of exercise; and Herbie the Hippie needs eight arms to control digestion of junk foods and overeating. Joey and Missy participate, helping an army of white corpuscles to beat back the forces of "It," (Death) in an infected finger. Each adventure carries an important lesson, often expressed in a song with catchy lyrics. The last stop is the Brain, which tells Joey and Missy they alone can keep Uncle Carl from killing himself by his life of excess. And so they emerge from the body to give Uncle Carl the message which may save his life... or our own.
