Depressed over his college team's endless losing streak, coach Sam Archer (John Amos) goes on safari with his assistant, Milo (Tim Conway). The dejected duo unexpectedly stumble upon Nanu (Jan-Michael Vincent), a young athletic prodigy. Despite opposition from Ganzenga, Nanu's godfather (and the tribe's resident witch doctor), the youth returns to America with Sam and Milo. At the National College Track and Field Meet, Nanu dazzles the audience with his amazing athletic prowess.
