YOUTH VERSUS AUTHORITY IN A MELODIOUS MUSICAL JAMBOREE!
Set in the Vince Lombardi High School, ROCK 'N' ROLL HIGH SCHOOL is the entertaining story of a young fan of the popular Ramones Band, and her all-out clash with a stuffy campus administration determined to stamp out rock 'n' roll. The conflict between them escalates until it involves the entire school, the media, and, finally, in a climax that can truly be described as explosive, The Ramones themselves. The film features The Ramones performing several of their biggest hits - such as 'Blitzkreig [sic] Bop', 'Teenage Lobotomy', 'Pinhead' and 'Sheena Is A Punk Rocker', plus two new numbers written especially for the film: 'I Want You Around' and 'Rock 'N' Roll High School'. In addition to The Ramones, there are 19 other songs by such artists as Paul McCartney and Wings, Fleetwood Mac, Alice Cooper, Chuck Berry and The Velvet Underground. The result is a musical jamboree that is a virtual compendium of rock 'n' roll in the last 25 years.
