THE ITALIAN STALLION IS BACK! In the aftermath of his celebrated exhibition mtch with World Heavyweight Champion Apollo Creed, Rocky enjoys his success. He marries his sweetheart Adrian, buys her an expensive fox fur, a sports car for himself, and a luxurious new home. When a projected stint in T.V. commercials fails because he is unable to remember his lines and cannot read the "dummy cards" being held for him, Rocky is forced o work as a meat porter. When the abattoir later makes him redundant Adrian, now pregnant, tries to support them by working in a pet shop. Rocky believes he has no future as a boxer and accepts a menial job at the gym run by his former trainer Mickey. Apollo Creed, however, angered by repeated taunts that his last fight with Rocky was fixed, is eager for a re-match. Adrian is against it, and doctors have warned Rocky that with his injured eye another fight could seriously damage his sight.
