Buster Crabbe, the broad-shouldered star of the 'Flash Gordon' films, plays a never-say-die doctor in this ripping jungle adventure movie. Joining an expedition which aims to penetrate the darkest depths of the dangerous African swamps in an attempt to discover the legendary 'City of the Dead' our doctor finds the party well-equipped, but lacking a vital medicine needed to combat a deadly jungle disease. The ship bearing the serum has sunk in shark-infested waters. Unless Crabbe can recover the drugs, the entire expedition will perish. But the question is, what will get them first? The disease or the hostile primitive tribes?
