Sean Connery stars as Colonel Tahlvik, the tough and uncompromising head of Norwegian National Security in this complex, gripping suspense thriller. The ailing British Ambassador is kidnapped by British anarchist Martin Shepherd, and a ransom demanded. The tense situation is further complicated when a gang hijack a jet at a nearby airport, threatening to blow up the plane and its passengers unless Shepherd is allowed safe conduct. But events are not as straightforward as they seem; Tahlvik's stance for non-appeasement puts him into conflict with his superiors as he slowly realises that he is a pawn in a complex game.
