A loveable but mischievous sea lion, formerly with a circus, is adopted by two young orphan brothers. In an attempt to find a job and a home they volunteer to help the waning fortunes of Mrs Penninger, owner of a run down Marina in the Florida Keys. Salty's escapades manage to complicate their plans to help with hilarious consequences.
