Synopsis

Pelé - the remarkable story of the greatest footballer the world has ever seen. This original Brazilian film beautifully illustrates Pelé's phenomenal career. It embraces his illustrious contribution to four World Cups. It captures, with unique pictures, his unheralded triumph as a 17-year old in 1958 in Sweden; the bitter disappointment of injury in 1962 in Chile: the pain and frustration of his cruel treatment in the 1966 World Cup in England; and the joy of Brazil's flamboyant victory in Mexico in 1970.
Pelé records the breathtaking skill of this most spectacular of goalscorers, with superb sequences of many of Pelé's most memorable goals - including the emotional scenes as Pelé reached the milestone of 1,000 goals. Many of these marvellous moments have never before been available outside Brazil.
Pelé also offers to the aspiring young player the chance to learn from the best example in the world. Pelé, the coach, passes on the skills that set him apart from other players.
Pelé encapsulates all the sunshine of Brazil through the experiences of its most revered hero - a superb reminder of a superb footballer. It's an action-packed tribute to Pelé that you will never tire of watching.
