A cigarette end... a gasoline leak... and a million lives at risk!
Dawn breaks over an American city of a million people. The mayor, the fire chief, the morning TV newsreader, a doctor and a disillusioned oil man all awaken to face the problems of a new day. It's hot, as usual. But something unusual is about to happen. A smouldering cigarette falls on to dry grass. A gasoline leak at the oil refinery finds its way into the city's sewers. And suddenly the city is on fire! As the inferno rages, the people we met at dawn are forced to confront their weaknesses and rally together for the sake of survival in a stunning disaster movie full of spectacular action and burning realism.
