It is October 1942... the Second World War is at its height in the African Desert. A seemingly impossible mission is ordered - an operation to take and hold an enemy occupied oasis strategically critical to the Allies. On the eve of the American landings, a ruthless N.C.O. Sgt. Sullivan (Lee Van Cleef) and his tough-minded Commanding Officer Captain Valli (Jack Kelly) lead a battered and depleted commando unit against the oasis held by "Italienische Kameraden". The ensuing bloody fight secures the commando's position... but now they must hold the camp for a critical forty-eight hours! A film full of bloody combat and the explosive action of war.
